Quantum Sessions - Mocap studio access for just $499!
The democratization and accessibility of AAA motion capture quality have always been close to our hearts at Quantum Stage. And yes you can buy a Rokoko Suit, use an iPhone or other AI based tools to easily capture mocap data these days. But how often do you get a chance to work with one of the best possible tracking system on the market (Vicon) that captures a human performance down to the last millimeter of detail?
This is why we’re hosting our very first Quantum Session on Nov 3rd 2025!
Quantum Sessions are 60 minute time slots that give you access to a state of the art optical mocap studio for an exceptional flat rate of $499. (Typically, access to this kind of tech for a full day would cost several thousand dollars).
During your slot, you’re free to shoot and direct whatever you like, and whatever we’re able to capture in our studio. At the end you’ll receive all raw mocap data, video reference footage and a preview retargeted animation version to a humanoid character rig of your choice.
WHEN: Monday, November 3rd, 2025
TIME: 9am till 6pm CET.
WHAT: 60 minutes of studio time with one actor at your own discretion
COST: USD $499
DATA: All animation data is included (AAA optical mocap data, body + fingers)
ACTOR: professional mocap and stunt actors Ophir Raray and Mathieu Jaquet
PROPS: Treadmill (up to 20 km/h), various swords and sticks, shield, nunchucks, stunt mats, assault rifle, pistol, chairs, apple boxes, sand bags and a movable scaffolding.

Free animation data shot at Quantum Stage
We’ve recently released our first animation package containing 3 hours of locomotion and other video game motions. To celebrate this release, and also to test the waters, we’re sharing some free mocap animations, accessible below:
Included is a complete animation take of an actor walking forwards and doing 45, 90, 135 and 180 degree turns. Both left and right. The data can be used to generate walk cycles and turns.
Check out the individual downloads on Gumroad linked in the pictures above.
Included in the download is a ready to use animation for each engine. Plus the raw mocap data with timecode offset and without in 100fps, 60fps, FBX, BVH, C3D format with video reference footage and playblast renders.
The animation was recorded with a professional mocap actor using our Vicon system back in 2022.
This is also a great opportunity to work with data typically provided by AAA motion capture studios.

Mocap marker gloves
At Quantum Stage, we're always pushing boundaries in performance capture. One of the ongoing challenges in this space is accurate finger tracking. While the Vicon Shogun system handles much of the heavy lifting, placing individual markers on each finger can be a time consuming process.
To streamline this, we’ve developed a prototype glove with pre-attached markers configured to match standard Vicon marker sets. These gloves have already been tested on multiple productions and have proven to be extremely reliable, significantly reducing setup time, while maintaining tracking accuracy.
There’s still room for improvement, but the current prototype already offers several key features:
Flexible, breathable material with a grip surface on the palm and fingers.
Sockets to attach 14mm, 12mm, or 9mm markers, compatible with Vicon marker sets.
Washable design, with removable markers for easy cleaning.
We're continuing to refine the design, but we’re excited to offer demos to interested parties. We also plan on making compatible versions for OptiTrack, Qualisys, Motion Analysis and other optical tracking systems. The gloves are scheduled to go on sale via our website in Q2–Q3 2025.
